Edible Tommorowland

I had no idea Disneyland of all places, consciously put in a PERMACULTURE garden at tommorowland. This made the whole trip to Disneyland much more conforting. Especially since I was aware that there were McDonald's advertisements and restaurants in Disneyland. Anyone promoting McDonalds doesn't seem to be too concerned about sustainable food production and healthy eating.

But the ironic twist is that Disneyland IS concerned with sustainable food production and healthy eating.

Since Disneyland hopes that in the future, there will be permaculture gardens and edible landscaping all over the place, all over the Tommorowland section of Disneyland they have installed edible landscaping, just as one of the fundamental teachings of permaculture promotes.

In this picure (which I admit, I didn't take)i am standing next to the entrance to Tommorow Land, and right there in the middle of the lanscaping is lettuce, Rosemary, ARTICHOKES!, and ECHINACEA!!! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. GO DISNEYLAND!!! (but get rid of McDonald's)

I had no idea Disney could be so forward thinking as to show children something of value! Hoorah, but I won't be taking my children there anytime soon. It's just too far to see edible gardens...got that just a step outside the door of my house.
